LeadingAge MA Welcomes New Member

We’re excited to welcome Navigator Homes of Martha's Vineyard as the newest member of LeadingAge Massachusetts! Set to open in Fall 2025, Navigator Homes will feature five homelike residences, each with 14 private rooms and communal spaces designed to foster community and well-being. Residents Celebrate Aging with Empowering Calendar at Jack Satter House

Residents of the Jack Satter House, a LeadingAge MA member organization in Revere, have created the “Spectacular Seniors 2025” calendar proving that you’re never too old to try something new. The calendar celebrates the beauty of aging and aims to raise funds for the Jack Satter House Tenant’s Association. The project, inspired by Rabbi Lior Nevo, empowers the women to embrace their bodies and showcase their confidence. Proceeds from the calendar will support transportation costs for resident outings. J.J. Carroll House Wins First Place in Affordable Housing Award

2Life Communities’ J.J. Carroll House in Boston has been awarded first place in the Affordable Housing category at the Senior Housing News Architecture & Design Awards. Completed in early 2024, this modern 142-apartment building is a model for affordable, service-enriched living and showcases the power of public-private partnerships. Designed to meet the needs of seniors, it includes features like a Program of All-Inclusive Care (PACE) center, a vibrant Village Center, and a year-round accessible pedestrian bridge. COE-NF Offers No-Cost Behavioral Health Training for Nursing Facilities

The Center of Excellence for Nursing Facilities (COE-NF) provides free training and resources to help nursing facilities improve the quality of life for residents with behavioral health challenges. Their focus is on equipping staff with strategies to support residents, without replacing psychiatric services. COE-NF’s programs address Serious Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorders, Co-Occurring Disorders, trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, and de-escalation techniques.
